Roadworks on the E18

Roadworks on the E18
NLF, Oslo, has informed us that roadworks will be carried out in the Festning Tunnel, locatedon the E18 motorway, starting 24 October for approximately 6 months. The E18 is the motorway that goes through Oslo city centre. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes instead of three, in both directions. Therefore, drivers should be aware of:
- road signs indicating the new traffic configuration in the tunnel;
- narrow lanes (3m for the lanes out of Oslo);
- speed limits of 50km/h;
- vehicles driving in the opposite direction.
Traffic jams and delays are to be expected, in particular during rush hours.
